Activate your new Trend Micro License

If you have purchased a new licence for your Trend Micro Security software in-store or over the phone, here are the instructions on how to add the serial number to the software.

Please note, if you have INTERNET SECURITY, you will need to buy an INTERNET SECURITY license. If you have MAXIMUM SECURITY, you will need to buy a MAXIMUM SECURITY license. Otherwise, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software, and the below instructions will not work.

Activate your new Trend Micro Serial Number

Step 1
Double-click the Trend Micro shortcut icon on your desktop or in the system tray (near the clock)

Step 2
Once the program is open, click on your program’s expiry date, which can usually be found in the bottom right corner.

Step 3
Click “Change your serial number”

Step 4
Enter your new Serial Number, then click Next.

Alternative Method

Step 1
Double-click the Trend Micro  shortcut icon on your desktop or in the system tray (near the clock) to open Trend Micro

Step 2
Click the Profile icon located at the top right corner of the main console. (It looks like the silhouette of a person)

Step 3
Click About the Software

Step 4
Click the Serial Number and then choose Change the Serial Number
